The Touchables - Super Hits of the 1960sThe Touchables - Super Hits of the 1960s
Recognized as the leading 1960's tribute act in the Northwest, The Touchables have performed with numerous rock legends such as The Animals, Grand Funk Railroad, Loverboy, The Supremes, and Tommy James. The Touchables are high energy entertainers whose passion for 1960's rock is evident not only in their 'just like the record' song renditions, but also by the inclusion of authentic instruments, 60's style choreography, and period costuming in their performances. The Touchables' show is an interactive, all-ages event. For those of us old enough to remember the 1960s, The Touchables show is a fast-paced trip down memory lane. For the younger generation, The Touchables deliver an up-close and personal history lesson on the roots of classic Rock and Roll. Second Hand BuzzSecond Hand Buzz
Second Hand Buzz got it's start in mid 2005 with Dave Rozell (drums), Allen Hansen (bass), and Ron Hill (guitar). Ron was playing prior to this with the 60's Explosion, Dave with Etched In Stone, and Allen with Wolfgang and The Rust. Wanting the hooks to be tight, and the song selection fresh yet recognizable, they embarked upon the club scene in the Portland Metro area as a power trio. Larry Smith (Formerly of Wolfgang) moved back at the end of summer 2005 from the beaches of Maui, ready to get involved in music in a bad way. Through a little coaxing he's joined the lineup of Second Hand Buzz with his otherworldly vocals and his Gibson guitar attack, add to that the Recent Edition of Charlie Swift (The Rust, Billionaire Bachelors) as the new drummer and also a fantastic vocalist in his own right and we have given the band a huge boost forward and we are now greatly looking forward to closing the year out strong and expanding our songlist and venues played in 2007. The Second Hand Buzz band would like to invite you out for a night of rock n roll. We are a Portland cover band that plays music from the 70's 80's 90's and some from today!! ZuZo BlueZuZo Blue
ZuZo Blue is a classic rock cover band located right here in the Pacific NW. Song selection is right off the KGON playlist, with classic rock covers by ZZ Top, Van Halen, Sammy Hager and so on. What catches your ear immediately about these guys is they sound just like the original artist. All three musicians have been lead singers in other successful NW bands. Drummer and band leader Bill Fancher toured the Western US with One Way Out and Las Vegas act Nemesis, throughout the 1980's and 90's. Guitar player Brian Hadley toured the NW and Canada with Picture Parade and performed with original artists Picture This in 1989 and 1990. Bass player Todd Jensen, one of the founding members of Sequel, has gone even beyond the local scene -working with the likes of David Lee Roth, Steve Perry, Alice Cooper and Paul Rogers. For your next party (birthdays, anniversaries, etc), corporate party, or nightclub – remember ZuZo Blue. For more information, please visit www.zuzoblue.com.
Stairway DeniedStairway Denied
Stairway Denied is a group of musicians who have gathered together to pay tribute to the music of one of the most innovative and influential bands in rock history, Led Zeppelin. Unlike most tribute bands, Stairway Denied does not attempt to recapture the glamour of the band, only the music and the revival of Rock & Roll! The band consists of five members: drummer Chris Harver, guitarists Curtis Monette and Dylan Nelson, bassist Dustin Stallings, and vocalist Noah Stroup. Their strength lies with their ability to combine the powerful sound of Led Zeppelin's live performances with the intricate, well-polished arrangements of their studio work. From the heavy guitar riffs and booming basslines, to the wailing vocals and thunderous drums, Stairway Denied strongly delivers a show for Led Zeppelin lovers both young and old. Current Schedule: Saty tuned for up-coming dates!
The Troublemakers
About the Band. Four prisoners of Rock ‘n Roll, the members of The Troublemakers served their musical hard time in low-down Texas blues bars, Memphis juke joints, Detroit rock clubs and legendary hangouts up and down LA’s Sunset Strip. When their sentences were up, each musician made his way to Portland, looking for a fresh start with careers, families and mortgages. But the boogie was in these boys, and it had to come out. The backbeat beckoned, and the backsliding began. They went looking for trouble and found it, forming The Troublemakers in 2004. Along with bands like The Blasters, NRBQ and Los Lobos, The Troublemakers are keepers of the flame for American roots music. It’s Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Gene Vincent, Johnny Cash and all their musical descendants; the proud tradition of three chords and a bad attitude. When they take the stage, The Troublemakers have one mission - to keep the dance floor packed, to keep the beer flowing and to play every note as if their lives depended on it which, in a way, it does…because this band knows there’s No Parole from Rock ‘n Roll. The Troublemakers appear regularly at clubs throughout the Portland metro area. Schedule: Friday September, 22 Duff's Garage 1635 SE 7th (@ Market) Portland, OR 503.234.BEER 9pm. Friday October, 20 CI Bar & Grill 18786 SW Boones Ferry Rd Tualatin, OR 503.692.2765 9pm. Check out www.thetroublemakers.us/ for more shows, pics, and news.

Pigs on the Wing brings the experience and energy of veteran members of the Northwest's underground original rock scene together in a refreshing, beautifully psychedelic take on the timeless music of Pink Floyd. Far from an attempt at Floyd-impersonation, POTW generally does accurate versions of the original music but is unapologetic in its interpretation and improvisation of the music in ways that we believe any Pink Floyd fan will appreciate. Rather than focusing on exact replication of Floyd albums or any sort of look-alike mimicry of band members, POTW seeks to capture the atmosphere and rock energy of Pink Floyd in as unpretentious a style as possible. Pigs on the Wing evolved from Portland rock band Oxcart's performances of Dark Side of the Moon during Winter 2006. Members include guitarist / vocalist Jason Baker, bassist / vocalist Ben Carey, keyboardist / vocalist Matt Jones, and drummer / vocalist Jason Rieve, all of Oxcart. They are joined by vocalist Courtney Sproule and lighting / production manager Dwight Carlisle, both of Portland act Groundscore. Up-Coming Shows: Saturday May 19th at the Fez Ballroom in Portland. The show is being billed as "Pink Zeppelin", and will feature Led Zeppelin tribute act Stairway Denied and Pink Floyd tribute act Pigs on the Wing. Cost is $8 adv, $10 at the door. 9pm doors.
Probable Cause is a four-member rock act loosely formed in 1987 by three guys (2 guitars and drums) getting together on the weekends to drink beer, blow off steam and play music. Close friends invited them to play a couple of private parties and word spread that these guys were pretty good, they began to play… … … more private parties. In 1992 a decision was made to purchase some more sophisticated PA gear and a few more guitars and bring in a bass player, or give it up. HEY! We’re not quitters! In 1993 they played their first private / corporate gig on the Sternwheeler ‘Columbia Gorge’ in Portland and were hooked on getting the music to the people. Initially, Probable Cause was very heavy into British music, mostly the Beatles but soon, founding member Greg Dawson noticed the people want to dance. The more Rockin’ and Danceable a tune was, the more fun the whole room became. Probable Cause re-aimed their focus onto very danceable Rock’N’Roll, and actually trademarked the phrase “Dance ‘til ya Drop!” coined by then bass player Matthew MacNaughton. To date, Probable Cause has played all over the Pacific Northwest including Half.com (Halfway) Oregon and for all manner of occasion. They play clubs as well as corporate and private parties or any other safe / legal venue. The current line up is: Mark “Air-Cooled” McDermott – Lead Guitar and Vocals Dr. Dana (DW) “Drums” Watson – Drums Marvin “Five Fingers” Slifman - Bass Greg Dawson – Rhythm Guitar and Lead Vocals Our music has evolved a little over the years. We’ve added some original music written by Lead Guitarist Mark McDermott as well as a little Blues and Country – but it has to ROCK! CRUSH is a 4 piece ROCK band based out of Portland, Oregon . We play mostly in the Portland/Vancouver area. Our format leans heavy 80's, some 90's, and a few current. To see CRUSH live is to experience a very dynamic lead vocalist, a hard driving music section with a history, and rich backup harmonies. An Evening of YES music
"All Good People" are Portland's first YES tribute band, or as they prefer to think of it, a group of musicians who celebrate performing the music of YES. The band seeks to replicate the sound of YES live holding true to just five members; no sequencing, tapes, or extra musicians added. So far the band has concentrated on material from the "Classic" period, namely songs from The YES album, Fragile, and Close to the Edge. The BAND: Charlie Swift (aka Jon Anderson) on vocals. Merrill Hale (aka Bill Bruford, Alan White) on drums. Kevin Burkhart (aka Rick Wakeman) on keyboards. Michael (Dilly) D'Leora (aka Chris Squire) on bass. Steve Adams (Steve Howe) on guitar.
